2008 – “The Year of the e-invoice”

We at Accountis have long been predicting that “2008 will be the year of the e-invoice” and it seems that Bruno Koch of Billentis is of the same opinion! In his latest edition of E-Invoicing Quarterly, Bruno reports that processed B2B volumes are expected to reach 610 million E-invoices in 2008, representing 4.1% of all European B2B invoices. This reflects the ever-growing number of companies signing up to the benefits of E-Invoicing – in 2006, this figure was just 240 million. Bruno also predicts that the strongest growth rates in the E-Invoicing market place will be seen in Sweden, Spain, Belgium, France, Poland and Portugal.
