ISCD Upgrade

Upgrade for your ISCD system to work with the new ISCD update (01/10/2008 Onwards)

You only need to apply this upgrade once.

WARNING: These instructions may require you to reboot your server in some cases please read them through before applying the upgrade.

1. Copy the above application to the machine running BACSactive-IP Server (This can be identified by looking in Control Panel for an icon called BACSactive-IP Server)
2. Ensure that BACSactive is running in system tray mode. To do this please go to Control Panel and into BACSactive-IP Server. From the dialog box which appears please select the Advanced button (bottom left) and ensure the radio button is set to System Tray for the Service Daemon. If it is not please follow instructions below for switching the system temporarily from Windows Service to System Tray
3. Find the program which you have downloaded and double click it to run. Follow the on screen instructions. (If you have been following the instructions for switching from Windows Service to System Tray proceed to step 6 in those instructions, otherwise proceed to 4)
4. You should now be able to log back on and apply your ISCD update as normal from the ISCD update page

Instructions to switch from Windows Service to System Tray If Applicable (See 2 Above)

1. Go to Control Panel and into BACSactive-IP Server. Click the stop button. If you are running Windows XP at this point you may need to right click the red/brown Zope icon in the system tray and select Close. OK any warnings, after this close and reopen the BACSactive-IP Icon in Control Panel
2. Click the Advanced button (Bottom left) and select System Tray from the options for Service Daemon
3. Click OK and OK again on the warning which will pop up
4. Click Start
5. Run the upgrade as in step 3 of the Instructions above
6. Reboot your computer
7. Go back into Control Panel and into BACSactive-IP Server. Click Advanced (Bottom left) and select Windows Service)
8. Reboot your computer. If the service does not start automatically go into Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and start the service BACSactive-IP making sure the start-up type is set to Automatic
9. You should now be able to log back on and apply your ISCD update as normal from the ISCD update page
