Bacs processing calendar

Below is a link to download an update to the Bacsactive-IP Desktop software. This update contains the latest Bacs processing calendar. The update will enable the software to recognise the bank holidays for 2010 and treat them as Bacs non-processing days.

** Hosted Customers - Please note that customers using the Accountis Managed Service, i.e. Bacsactive-IP Online or Bacsactive-IP Service, are NOT required to perform these updates. If in doubt please contact Accountis Support at support@accountis.com or call 0845 644 0640.

There are two versions available for versions 2.0.15 and above and for version 2.0.14 and below. To find your product version please check the bottom right hand corner of any screen within the product.

To apply the update please download the appropriate file to the PC where your Bacsactive-IP installation is situated and follow the instructions below.

  1. Make sure that all users are logged out of the Bacsactive-IP desktop.
  2. Copy the downloaded update to the following folder:

    c:\Program Files\Payactive\BACSactive\Server\Extensions\
    (There is already a file called ProcessingDates.pyc there so you will be prompted to over-write it. Click Yes to replace the file.)
  3. Restart the Bacsactive-IP Desktop software. This should be done in one of two ways depending on your setup. If the software is running as a service, follow section a below. If the software is running in the Windows System Tray follow section b below.

    1. Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services.
      Restart the service called Bacsactive-IP by highlighting it and clicking the “Restart Service” button in the toolbar.
    2. Locate the Bacsactive-IP icon in the Windows System Tray and right-click on it and select “Stop Bacsactive-IP”.
      Right click on the icon again and select “Close”.
      Go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Bacsactive-IP Server.
      Click “Start” and then click “Close”.

The above steps will need to be repeated for every server installation.
