Bacs Updates
Upcoming Bacs Changes
Important Changes to DDICA (Direct Debit Indemnity Claim Advices)
You may be aware that Bacs are going to automate Direct Debit Indemnity Claims on 18th October 2010. From day one you may start to receive some of your Direct Debit Indemnity Claim Advices as online Bacs reports in addition to the paper based ones you currently receive. As this is a mandatory Bacs change, it necessitates a change to your Bacsactive-IP software to allow you to download and view the new DDICA reports. If you process Direct Debits, you will need to update your Bacsactive-IP software.
Please download the appropriate version and then follow the instructions on how to apply the update. Your version number can be found in the bottom-right hand corner of the login screen (white writing on blue).

Changes to Direct Debit Guarantee Wording - Deadline January 2011
With effect from 1 July 2009 the two previous forms of Direct Debit Guarantee wording have been replaced. Whilst it is considered best practice for all service users to adopt the new Guarantee immediately, service users set up to use Direct Debit prior to this date may continue to use either of the two previous Guarantees until 31 December 2010; service users set up after 1 July 2009 must use the new wording. With effect from 1 January 2011 ALL service users must use the new Direct Debit Guarantee. Further information:
